of type.

How it works

Hold a key. Talk. Let go.

Hold your talk key and say it the way you would say it to a person. When you let go, tidy text appears wherever your cursor is. Double-tap for hands-free when you have a lot to say.

AI clean-up

Say it messy. Send it tidy.

Habla removes the ums, fixes punctuation, turns lists into lists and keeps the correction when you change your mind mid-sentence.

  • Dictionary for names and jargon it should always spell your way
  • Snippets: say a short phrase, get the full text
  • A different style for messages, work chat and email
  • Included free, with a generous daily allowance
Instruct

Dictation types what you say. Instruct does it.

Hold Left Ctrl + Left Opt and say what you want: “make this shorter”, “draft a reply to this”, “translate this to Spanish”. Habla reads the app you’re in, your selection and the text on screen, then gets it done.

  • Edits your selection or writes at your cursor
  • Answers questions in its panel, without typing into your app
  • Learns rules like “no exclamation marks in emails”, plus new words and snippets
  • Undo any time, and follow up within 3 minutes: “make it friendlier”
Transforms

Rewrite anything you select.

Highlight text in any app and press a shortcut. Polish makes it clearer in your voice, Prompt Engineer turns a rough idea into a solid prompt, and you can write your own.

  • Works anywhere you can select text
  • Undo with Command-Z in that app
  • Polish is one key away: Opt + 1
Meeting Notetaker

Notes from every call, no bot required.

Habla records your mic and the call audio on your Mac, then writes a summary, action items and a transcript with speaker names, next to your own notes. Ask anything about a meeting afterwards.

  • Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and more
  • Action items land in My Tasks
  • Share notes as PDF or Markdown, or import from Granola and Otter
  • MCP, so Claude can read your meeting notes

AI included, on fair terms

Text goes to Claude (Anthropic) only for AI features: tidying longer dictations, Instruct, Transforms and meeting notes. It is included through Habla’s relay, which keeps usage counts, never your words. Add your own Anthropic key to go direct, or turn shared AI off in Settings to keep everything on your Mac.

FAQ

Questions.

Is it free?

Yes. Dictation runs on your Mac and costs nothing. AI clean-up, Instruct and meeting notes are included with a generous daily allowance, under our fair use policy. Short phrases are tidied on your Mac and don’t count towards it. If you reach the allowance, your words still get typed with a simpler tidy, and AI comes back the next day. Want no allowance at all? Add your own Anthropic key and use is billed to your account.

Do I need an API key?

No. AI features work out of the box. A key is optional, for heavy users who want to go direct to Anthropic.

Does it work offline?

Dictation does. Clean-up needs an internet connection.

Which languages does it support?

25 European languages, including English and Spanish.

Does it work with Zoom and Google Meet?

Yes. The Notetaker records your mic and the call audio, so no bot needs to join.

How do I get updates?

You don’t need to do anything. Habla checks for a new version every day and offers to install it. You can also choose Check for Updates from its menu or Settings.

What is the difference between Instruct and Transforms?

Transforms are fixed one-key edits, like Opt+1 for Polish. Instruct is anything you can say: hold Left Ctrl + Left Opt and ask. Its panel never takes focus, so your cursor stays in your app.

I use Wispr Flow. Can I bring my stuff?

Yes. Habla imports your Flow history, dictionary, snippets and meetings. It can also import meeting exports from Granola and Otter.
